My wife (Lisa) is the guardian and caretaker of a multitude of orchids of all varieties. In the early spring of 2014 we were blessed with a house full of orchids in bloom, the inspiration for this collection was obvious. I entered two of these paintings into the art contest at the Orchid Society of Alberta 37th Annual Orchid Fair Show & Sale at the Enjoy Centre in St. Albert. The collection was also my featured work for the Mercer Collective Pop Up Sale that April.
