‘Wind’ takes you to the village of Halkirk, Alberta located about 200 km southeast of Edmonton.  I discovered this location driving home from Lethbridge, Alberta in the spring of 2014. I was immediately inspired when my drive along Highway 12 brought me to these towering wind turbines that dominated the vast open farmland.  I returned one day in early fall and spent a few hours driving down country roads capturing images for this series.  Halkirk Wind is Alberta`s largest wind farm consisting of 83 wind turbines measuring over 24 stories high; one blade is equal to just over 13 stories. You can`t ignore the impression they make on the landscape.
